Roads and Infrastructure in Bangalore

Post by bangaloreguy »

Hi Bangaloriens it is observed that in many layout or parts of bangalore the roads are laid recently and with in no time say 2 -3 months the other govt bodies like the electicity board or telecom operators, water works dept and many more will start digging the newly laid roads and again bring the roads to the worst condition. why is it so is there a lack of communication between the govt departmants of is ther any other issue. This is a big concerns as the roads are laid with the public money and it is wasted like this.

May be Raods and infrastructure dept should get the NOC from all the departments before getting the roads laid and if even after that if the other depts dig the roads they should be fined to the extent that this kind of problems will not repeat. Or you may psot some suggestions which will go to Govt and they will take necessary action. For exm in HSR layout all the newly laid roads are being damaged by elctricy department and are leving the same with out filling them properly which may lead to many unwanted issues to the public.

You know what, all this can be solved if you remove reservation from government sector. anyway the poor are not using the reservation benefits. Only the fools and dumbas are getting into government departments to ruin it further. They don't have capacity to think, let alone taking decissions. What say?

Correct! the government departments need some brain and they are not ready to acept that. Hopefully some educated youth will enter the departments in coming days.

For most of the period after Indian independence, Bangalore, though a B-1 status city, was not considered to be one of India's "4 major metropolitan cities" and did not have the infrastructure required to support a population of 5 million. The fastest growing city in Asia now has to struggle with a constantly and rapidly increasing population of technocrats and blue collar workers.
The local administration has attempted to overcome some of the shortcomings in the road systems by imposing one-way traffic systems and attempting to build a flyover system in the city. These initiatives have met with limited success.

This is the problem in most places in Bangalore...I wish there were someone we could complain to...I am thinking to start a facebook campaign for this problem. Simple ridiculous excuses that the population has increased and lack of budget, are not enough. It seems one authority has said "Bangalore can not be made into Singapore". Why not? Is it because you don't want to or is it because you are not concerned by people's problems. If they can not widen the roads, at least they can make sure that the existing roads are not damaged. If anybody knows how to approach the right authority pl post a comment.
