Incometax return ITR-V rejected. Why?
Hi, I had filed IT returns online and recently sent the ITRV to the Electronic city office address. I had followed all the instructions about signing etc. But today I got email saying my ITRV is rejected. The "REASONS" field was left empty. The IncomeTax department doesnot have common sense to tell why it's rejected?

Yeah they do not mention reason. But the rejections happen due to any of the following reasons:
1) Print is bad and barcode not clear or damaged.
2) If you have filed revised return, you have to submit BOTH original and revised ITR V
3) Courier not accepted. Use only SpeedPost or Normal Post

My bad 
I had filed revised returns but did not submit both original and revised itr-v documents.
Resent it and got confirmation now. Thanks for the reply.
