Post by harikrishna »

India@75 an initiative of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) envisions an India in 2022 that will actively shape the new world order through Economic Strength, Technological Vitality and Moral Leadership, collaboratively. In an endeavor to realize this vision to co-create the India of our dreams, CII and India@75, supported by IBM, India is planning to host a Hackathon on 17th and 18th of January 2015 in Bengaluru to leverage technology in building a developed & inclusive India through participation of people. Event website http://hackathon.indiaat75.in/

As part of India@75’s Call To Action Initiative in November, 2013, citizens of India counted themselves in to get involved in realizing the dreams of our country. Following the Call To Action, India@75, organized India’s 1st National Volunteering Week from 12th to 18th January 2014 that saw an outreach of 116.5 Million, with people from all walks of life contributing their time voluntarily; thus working towards a structured eco system of volunteerism in India to channelize the volunteer contributions towards nation building. The Hackathon – 2015 acts as an extension to this support by the masses to the Call To Action initiative.

Students, freelancers, professionals or companies working in the mobile application development sector can participate in teams. Participants will be required to come up with ingenious solutions in the form of apps using mobile technology and cloud computing.

The apps / solutions designed must focus on the following key areas:

 Clean India – Swachh Bharat Mission

 Make in India Campaign

 Education & Skills

 Business & Economy

 Agriculture, Food Security & Healthcare

 Technology & Innovation

 Urbanization & Environmental Sustainability

 Moral Leadership, Good Governance & Public Administration

 Arts, Literature & Sports

India@75 will adopt the winning apps and put them in public domain to ensure larger traction amongst masses for a collaborative and participative approach towards building a better India of tomorrow.
